5 Things You Need To Know About The Apple AirTag

The official Apple website describes AirTag’s as “a supereasy way to keep track of your stuff. Attach one to your keys, slip another in your backpack. And just like that, they’re on your radar in the Find My app, where you can also track down your Apple devices and keep up with friends and family.” Similarly to brands like Tile, the AirTag will help you locate all the things that you can’t seem to keep track of- all from your iPhone. We have compiled a list of five things that you should know about them, read below.

  1. They are affordable. A singular AirTag costs less than 30.00 directly from the Apple store. You can also buy a four-pack for less than 100.00.

  2. The setup is almost nonexistent. Similarly to when you open AirPods, the AirTag sets itself up on your iPhone or other Apple devices immediately with no external application downloads or confusing sign-up of any kind. If anything, your Apple devices will ask you to sign in with your Apple ID to confirm.

  3. They are very safe. Yes, you can slip an AirTag into your wife’s purse or onto her keychain if you share an Apple ID, but if someone was to try and attach an AirTag to your car, self, or in something that belongs to you, your iPhone will get a notification saying that an unfamiliar AirTag has been placed on or near you in which chase you can remove it and report it.

  4. They are family-friendly. Say goodbye to misplacing your kid’s cleats before soccer practice or your wife’s water bottle. You can use AirTags for a variety of items in your home from keys to household items. You can even use them on pets!

  5. They are water-resistant. If you get caught in the rain or drop your keys in a puddle, no worries! Apple AirTag is water-resistant and can still find whatever item is needed on the app even with water on it.
